Favorite Recipe Books & Websites

Websites:

Cooking Light Magazine - I first noticed this magazine back in the 80's before I even though about becoming a dietitian. It's a great source of recipes that you can trust for quality and taste.

Cuisinicity.com - This site is chock full of tantalizing (and healthy) recipes created by Catherine Katz PhD.Catherine is married to David Katz MD who has long been a voice of reason online regarding what to eat and calling out the nonsense 'rules' and theories of each seasons' new fad diets.

Eating Well Magazine - This magazine is in it's second incarnation, and is absolutely wonderful. I look forward to reading it cover to cover, and trying new recipes from it every issue.

Meal Makeover Moms - This is one great website, and such great recipes and information, by two very talented Registered Dietitians. If you've got kids you'll want to check it out.

Cookbooks:

7-Day Menu Planner FOR DUMMIES - by Susan Nicholson, RD. With 52-weeks of menus and recipes this a great resource for getting a handle on how to save time and money, while getting the family fed in a healthy way.

Lickety-Split Meals - For Health Conscious People on the Go! - This link is to the 2007 edition (while my copy is the 1998 edition!). However, at 4.5 stars it's clearly still as good as ever. This book is organized by night, eg. Monday is a slow-cooker meal, Wednesday is pasta, etc.
